You will be met at your accommodation or cruise ship in Southampton and on your way to Salisbury, you will travel through the New Forest, which dates back to the time of William the Conqueror, who used it to pursue his love of hunting.

Here his son, King William II was killed by a stray arrow....was it an accident or.....?

The New Forest is home to over 3000 wild ponies that roam freely alongside pigs, cattle, sheep and even donkeys.

As you head over Pepperbox Hill, the Salisbury Cathedral spire comes into view, just as it did for the medieval pilgrims.

Passing through Salisbury, you head towards Old Sarum, the site of original City of Salisbury. This Iron Age settlement was visited by The Saxons, Danes, Vikings and Normans.

Travelling on through the Wiltshire countryside, you continue to Durrington Walls and Woodhenge, which have greatly helped to increase our knowledge and understanding of the purpose of Stonehenge, before arriving at the infamous site itself.

Leaving Stonehenge, your journey continues into the English county of Berksire and onto the magnificent Windsor Castle, home to the royal family since the 12th century.

Here you can see the stunning State rooms, the Dolls House and St. Georges Chapel.

On your journey back to Southampton and subject to timings, you can visit The City of Winchester.

Dating back to the time of King Alfred, with its wonderful Cathedral and other historical sites, Winchester is a great place to wonder around at you own pace.

You can even see the house where Jane Austen spent her last days in 1817

Upon leaving Winchester, you will be returned to your accommodation or cruise ship in Southampton.
